Product End of Support

Ending Support in 2025

As part of our commitment to enhance our products, we will be discontinuing support for several legacy (JSP) features. We encourage you to start planning your migration as soon as possible to take advantage of the new functionalities and improved user experience.

We understand that moving to a new platform can be challenging, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Our dedicated Services Team is available to assist you with your transition, ensuring the process is smooth and successful, while minimizing any disruptions to your day-to-day operations.

CMiC Approvals App

As part of our ongoing improvements, we have officially removed the old CMiC Approvals App from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as of February 28, 2025. With the release of the new Construct APR app in Patch 19, we encourage all users to transition to the updated version, which provides enhanced functionality and an improved user experience. Thank you for your cooperation as we move forward with this improved solution!

What This Means for You:

  • Existing users who already have the app installed can continue using it as usual.

  • New users will no longer be able to download or install the app on additional devices.

We encourage you to explore our new Construct Approvals App, built on the Flutter framework for enhanced performance and better cross-platform support. We will now be providing full support for Construct Approvals, along with ongoing future enhancements.

E-Time and Crew Time

With the release of Patch 21 planned for February 2025 and installation expected in April 2025, we will be phasing out support for the JSP versions of E-Time and Crew Time. These applications will be replaced by our new offerings — Construct CT and Construct E-Time (located inside Construct ESS).

Since the recent release of Patch 20, both Construct CT and Construct E-Time (located inside Construct ESS) have achieved feature parity with the JSP versions.

You can read more about what’s involved in the transition here.

Project Management

There will be an important change with the release of Patch 21, scheduled for February 2025. We will be discontinuing support for several legacy (JSP) features.

The features that will be affected are:

  • Drawing Management

  • Documents

  • Daily Journals

  • Punch List Items

  • Issues

To help you transition smoothly, we’ve launched CONSTRUCT versions to replace these features, along with a comprehensive transition guide. Additionally, we’ve introduced a hybrid menu option that will allow you to access both JSP and CONSTRUCT features during the transition. Please note that support for these legacy features will continue until you upgrade to Patch 21 or later versions.

ECM Explorer

The ECM Explorer has been deprecated and is no longer supported by CMiC. All ECM Explorer download links have been removed and will no longer be accessible. We recommend using our Drawing and Specs Upload and Extraction Tool which is more convenient to use and has all of our latest features. For more information, see Drawing and Specs Upload and Extraction Tool.

Scheduling 2.0

Scheduling 2.0 has been deprecated and is no longer supported by CMiC. Customers can continue to use it as is, but there will be no further improvements on it.

Ending Support in 2024

CMiC ECM in MS Outlook (Classic)

CMiC ECM in MS Outlook (Classic) has been deprecated and is no longer supported as of February 28, 2024. With the release of the new CMiC for Outlook Add-In plug-in in Patch 19, CMiC encourages users to transition to the updated version, which is a dynamic software add-in that integrates with Microsoft Outlook and can be installed from the Microsoft Store.

Outlook Import/Export - Opportunity Management (ADF) and CMiC Field

The Outlook Import/Export screen (also known as the System Calendar screen) has been deprecated and is no longer supported as of November 18, 2024. This screen is located in both Opportunity Management (ADF) and CMiC Field. CMiC encourages users to use My Actions in CMiC Field and Action Items in Opportunity Management instead.

Oracle Forms

Screens based on the Oracle Forms framework have been deprecated and are no longer supported. Oracle Forms screens have been migrated to ADF UIRuntime, Java Server Pages (JSP), or Flutter. Users of Oracle Forms screens are expected to transition to the corresponding screens in currently supported user interfaces as soon as possible.
