CMiC Field - Endless Scrolling in PCI Details

This article describes how to enable the Endless Scroll feature to convert the PCI Details section of the PCI Detail tab of the Potential Change Items screen to a standard system log with endless scrolling. Once enabled, the PCI Detail section will load the PCI detail lines as the user scrolls up/down the log using the vertical scroll bar, optimizing content loading time for PCIs with numerous detail lines.

Once the Endless Scroll feature is enabled, users can also filter the log, view grand totals, and customize the log using column configuration.

Security

The following security role privileges are required to enable the Endless Scroll feature and access the Column Configuration screen, which is used to configure the PCI Details section's log.

Assign 'Endless Scroll For PCI Details' Privilege

To enable the Endless Scroll feature, the 'Endless Scroll for PCI Details' security privilege must be assigned in the Security Roles screen.

Assign 'Column Configuration' Menu Item and Program

The Column Configuration screen is used to configure the PCI Details section's log. Access to this screen requires the 'Column Configuration' menu and program security privileges, as shown in the screenshots above.

Column Configuration

The Column Configuration screen is used to configure the PCI Details section's log when the Endless Scroll feature is being used. This screen will display every column on the PCI Details log, in rows, with parameters for each column that control how the log displays them. Users can customize a column's display settings, such as its visibility, header title, description, and width.

Endless Scroll PCI Details

In the Endless Scroll PCI Details log, a search bar is available to filter the PCI detail lines. As well, grand total fields are available at the bottom of the log for the following fields: Estimated Amount, Quoted Amount, Final Amount, and Billing Amount, as shown in the screenshot above.

The following buttons are hidden by default and are enabled with the Endless Scroll Feature:

[Reset Layout] – Button

Press this button to reset the layout of the grid. Column order, filters, and groupings will automatically save and be displayed in the current state unless modified by the user.

[Detach] – Button

Press this button to expand the PCI Detail section to full screen. In Detached mode, press [Collapse] to bring the Detail section back to the main screen.
