Manage Access for Drawing Packages Security Now Tied to “Edit” Privilege

Why is it Useful?

CMiC has enhanced the security for managing access to drawing packages. The security for managing access to drawing packages is now linked to the Edit privilege within project roles.

NOTE: This feature is being released in Patch 20 under CF-15098.

How Does it Work?

Previously, this privilege was controlled by the 'Admin' checkbox (i.e., Admin = Y) on the CMiC Field - Security Roles screen. This change has been reverted and the security for managing access is now tied to the Edit privilege for the Drawing Management document types in the CMiC Field - Project Roles screen. Once the user has the required privilege, they can edit any package in the project.

Renaming packages is also tied to the Edit privilege as well.
