Qualifying Event - ESS Employee

A Qualifying Events (QE) is a change of circumstances that makes an employee eligible to change the particulars of their benefit plan outside of the regular Open Enrollment period. This may include adding or removing dependents from the plan or making new plan selections.

Press the [Save] button to save any entered information. Press the [Submit] button to submit the QE to a manager. Managers can view QE requests in the Qualifying Event Approval screen. Once the QE is approved, a notification will display on this screen.

New Qualifying Event

Use this field to select whether to enter a new QE or select an already created QE.

Event Type

Select the type of QE. These codes can be set by admins in the Qualify Event Setup screen.

Event Date

Enter the date of the QE itself.

Description

Enter a short description of the QE.

Dependents

This shows the current dependents for the user. The QE record must be saved before adding or modifying dependents. For this purpose, use the Modify and Review Dependents screen.
