Construct CTSchedule Codes

Overview

Most businesses have a variety of job positions to schedule and shifts to cover. The Schedules Codes screen allows companies to define global schedules which can then be assigned to crews. Users can create schedules with default start, end, and break times. Schedules can be used as default in/out times for all crew members, or crew members can have their time edited individually if their hours differ. Companies can then distribute crews proportionally during peak hours or seasons.

Access to Schedule Codes

Users must assign the Schedule Codes program to their security role in the Security Roles screen. The Security Roles screen can be accessed through E-Time .

NOTE: The Security Roles screen launched from the E-Time module contains security options and settings that are not widely available in the security screens launched from other modules (e.g., CMiC Field, ESS, etc.). The screen being discussed here is only available for assignment in the Security Roles screen located in E-Time.

Automatically Records Break for Clocking – Toggle

When enabled, break times for employees assigned to the selected schedule code will be automatically recorded in the Construct CHK app. Setting automatic breaks eliminates the need for employees to manually clock in and out during break times, as this process will be completed automatically for them according to the break times defined in the schedule.

Enable Automatic Clockout – Toggle

When enabled, employees using the selected schedule code will be automatically clocked out at the end of the shift.

Auto Clockout After

This field is only available when the 'Enable Automatic Clockout' toggle is enabled. It allows an interval of time (in 15-minute increments) to be added between the end of the scheduled work period and the automatic clockout. If the interval time is set to “0”, employees will be automatically clocked out at the end of their shift according to the end time defined in the schedule. If an interval time of “0.25” is entered, employees must manually clock out no later than 15 minutes after the end of their shift, otherwise they will be automatically clocked out after the 15-minute interval has ended.

Time Rows

Press the [AddTime] button to add a time row. For each row, in and out times can be set. Break time is calculated as the time between rows and is shown in gray. If time rows overlap the user will receive an error. At least one time row must be added before the schedule code can be saved.

Remove a time row by pressing the Minus icon (Image of Minus icon, minus sign in circle.). Only the bottom time row may be deleted.

Once all rows have been added, press the [Okay] button to save the schedule code.

Editing Schedule Codes

Schedule codes can be edited, even after they have been assigned to a crew. These edits are completed on the Edit Schedule Code screen. This screen is also used to set up automatic breaks and clockouts for employees using the Construct CHK (App).
