CMiC Cloud Application Selector
Overview
Upon logging into CMiC Cloud, the CMiC Application Selector screen will be displayed. This screen is used to launch the Enterprise console, CMiC Field, E-Time, CMiC ESS, or Construct ESS.
Switch Tenant from CMiC Application Selector
To switch tenants from the Application Selector screen, use the [Switch Tenant] button.
The [Switch Tenant] button is a convenient way for users who don't have access to Enterprise (e.g., E-Time users) to switch tenants directly from the Application Selector screen.
Click the [Switch Tenant] button to open a drop-down menu listing tenants to which the user is linked. Select a tenant and click on CMiC Enterprise or CMiC Field to start working in the selected tenant.
For example, in the screenshot above, the "BUI" tenant has been selected and CMiC Enterprise is being clicked.
CMiC Enterprise is launched using the selected tenant.
Switch Tenant from CMiC Enterprise
To switch tenants in Enterprise, click on your user ID.
Clicking your user ID from the console launches the User Settings pop-up window. From the Defaults tab of this pop-up window, click on the [Change Tenant] button.
Clicking on the [Change Tenant] button launches a second pop-up window. From there, select the desired tenant in the Change Tenant field and click on [Process].
Selecting the same tenant that is currently selected will trigger a warning message indicating that a different tenant must be selected.
Troubleshooting
Sometimes, the Cloud Application Selector screen does not show up, which is most likely caused by the user previously checking the Do Not Ask Again On This Computer checkbox. As a result, when a user logs in, the console will take them directly to the default console configured under the User Maintenance screen. This checkbox will remember the selection and launch the selected application.
To resolve this issue, we recommend clearing the browser cache and logging back in.
Note For example, if the box was checked seven days ago, then clearing the cache from the last 24 hours won't resolve the problem. Users may want to select the last seven days (or all cache history) for the time range when clearing the cache.
Google Chrome - Clear Browsing Data
If the user still does not see the app selector screen when logged in, the user can access the CMiC Cloud Application Selector screen by opening a new tab and typing the following URL:
-
ATLAS PROD – https://atlas.cmiccloud.com/cmicprod/SdMenu/AppSelectorDC.jsp
-
NOVA PROD – https://nova.cmiccloud.com/cmicprod/SdMenu/AppSelectorDC.jsp
Once the CMiC Cloud Application Selector screen is shown, the user can review the checkbox at the bottom of the page, if it is checked, uncheck it. This should take care of the problem of users skipping the Application Selector screen after login.
Note Users attempting to access the URLs mentioned above inside web browser sessions that have previously accessed the -az URLs, as mentioned in CMiC Cloud SSO Authentication, will see the login requests directed to the Azure SSO login screens instead. To restore access to the legacy login screens, as shown in the screenshots above, the cookies for cmiccloud.com will need to be cleared, followed by closing and restarting the web browser.
