CMiC Field R12 (App) 1.0.12 Release Notes

Version 1.0.12 (100590)

Enterprise customers must be on patch 12-2 (or greater) plus mobile hotfix B53 (or B54). Please note that CMiC Mobile Field will remain in the app stores and can be used by V10X and R12 customers (if needed). Both apps can coexist on the same device.

Fixes

FIXED | Contacts | Corrected an issue with security permissions in the contacts screen that allowed any user with access to the log to assign new contacts to the project.

FIXED | RFIs | Resolved an issue when adding RFIs as related objects.

FIXED | Drawings | Resolved an issue resulting in an infinite loading wheel, while attempting to access drawings offline which had not been stored locally.

FIXED | Drawings | Resolved an issue that was preventing users from following links in drawings while offline.

FIXED | Submittals | Resolved an issue that resulted in the incorrect record ID number being displayed after accessing a submittal via the search feature.

FIXED | Submittals | When using the search feature, in the dedicated Package Number LOV (only displayed when there are many existing Package Number values) - it's now possible to search for packages by the package number as well as the package name.

FIXED | Submittals | Corrected the Business Partner displayed in the Approval By field, within Submittal records.

FIXED | Documents | Resolved an issue that resulted in errors when uploading documents containing special characters in the Title field.

FIXED | Documents | Resolved an issue uploading documents when users had the Create privilege for a given document type, but were missing either the Edit privileges.

FIXED | Journals | Resolved an issue that resulted in the incorrect temperature unit being displayed (i.e., C° vs. F°) - caused by leading or trailing spaces in the Country field of the project address.

FIXED | Checklists | Resolved an issue with creating or updating checklist records while offline that was preventing new records, attachments, and other information entered offline from synching with the DB appropriately.

FIXED | Checklists | Resolved an issue that sometimes caused an error the first time a user attempted to create a checklist record after switching projects.

FIXED | Punch Lists | Resolved an issue with adding Punch List items as related objects, that was preventing users from creating new Punch List items on the fly, or using the search feature to locate the desired Punch List items.

FIXED | Punch Lists | Resolved an issue that occurred when users registered under a different company from the project and attempted to create new Punch Lists through the app.

FIXED | Email Report | Resolved an issue when emailing reports that set the sender as the contact that created the record - rather than the current user.

FIXED | I/O Email | Resolved an issue that occurred when changing the "To" contact, that could result in attachments not being included in the I/O message appropriately.

FIXED | Infrastructure | Resolved an issue when a user had no default project set that prevented them from logging in.

FIXED | Infrastructure | Added metadata to the Project Data Download essential for working in the app while offline.

FIXED | Infrastructure | Fixed an issue with login authentication using WebSSO that prevented the “Keep me logged in?” option from working correctly.

New Functionality

NEW | User Interface | Updated the UI to include a new bottom app bar for adding notes, attachments, and related objects to all PM objects (i.e., RFIs, Issues, Journals, etc.).

NEW | User Interface | We have introduced a new Navigation rail, which is always available on the left side of the screen (when working in larger screen dimensions) - allowing the user to jump quickly to different modules in the app.

NEW | Documents | It's now possible to add mark-ups and annotations to documents/photos in the upload process - by tapping on the thumbnail-image in the Camera roll or Create Attachment screens, users can access the full functionality of the document viewer.

NEW | Storage Management | within settings there is now a Storage Management feature, that allows users to delete data stored on their device on a project-by-project basis. (*NOTE* Upgrading to version 1.0.12 will clear the local storage on the device).

NEW | Checklists (Beta) | Our new implementation of the Checklist program is now ready for Beta testing (Patch level 14-1 and Mobile Hotfix B54 are required).

This version brings a number of new and improved features including:

  • Additional question types including: Dropdown, Checkbox, Short Answer, and Date/Time.

  • Improved workflows around assigning Checklist templates to projects and customizing the project level templates.

  • Greatly improved security administration.

  • Improved control around the automatic creation of Issues for non-compliant Checklist Items.
