Construct ESS - Personal Timesheet (Web)
Why is it Useful?
CMiC has developed a web version of the Personal Timesheet screen for Construct ESS. Prior to its release, only an app version of the screen was available. The release of this new screen will help users transition from our classic E-Time JSP version of the screen which is no longer being supported, to a newer version with a more streamlined and efficient time entry process. Below are some of the major changes and features included in the web version of the Personal Timesheet screen.
NOTE: This feature is being released in Patch 20.
How Does it Work?
Construct ESS Personal Timesheet screen (Web)
The Personal Timesheet screen is used to enter, save, and submit timesheets in the web version of Construct ESS. This screen can be accessed from the Main menu of Construct ESS using the Personal Timesheet icon (), as highlighted in the screenshot abvoe.
Add Task pop-up window launched from the [Add New Task] button
Tasks can be added for various different categories. Details in the Add Task pop-up window vary depending on the tab where the Add New Task button is pressed (e.g., Job tab, Equipment tab, Work Order tab, and Overhead tab).
Key Features and Enhancements

Single-Row Time Entry:

Users can enter and save time data within a single row.

Daily actions like submitting, approving, and rejecting time entries are enabled.

A hover-over feature displays the status of each day's time record.

Enhanced Time Entry Functionality:

Supports various activity types (Job, Overhead, Equipment, Work Order).

Displays activities based on role maintenance settings.

Highlights weekends and holidays, and enforces audit controls to restrict time entry for certain hour types on future dates.

User Actions and Options:

Existing functionalities like Save, Reload, Auto Recall, and Submit for Approval are maintained.

New rules govern time entry for temporarily closed periods, restricting operations based on the period's status.

Additional Features:

Introduction of sector codes, schedule codes, and an In/Out feature for time entry.

Maximum hour functionality is considered, with priority given to the access code administration settings.
