Enterprise Content Management - Using Cloud Storage (OneDrive, Dropbox, box) in CMiC ECM in MS Outlook (Classic)
NOTE: CMiC ECM in Outlook (Classic) has been deprecated and is no longer supported as of February 28, 2024. CMiC encourages users to use Enterprise Content Management - CMiC for Outlook Add-In going forward.
In version 4, new functionality has been implemented for integration with the following cloud file hosting services: OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box.
Upon clicking these buttons, the login window appears to enter credentials (sample of Sign In screen shown below):
When logged in, the user has access to the files stored in the cloud. They appear on the right pane of the Outlook ECM section:
The toolbar on cloud storage pane shows the current location:
And it has three controls:
- navigates one level up.
- navigates between cloud storage drives (if connected).
- refreshes the pane.
From cloud storage, the files can be sent to CMiC:

Select files (multiple selection can be used as well).

Right click and then click the [Send to CMiC] button.

Choose the destination project and click [Proceed].

Select the type of the documents for the files and click [Copy Document], as shown at the bottom of the last screenshot:

Selected files will be sent to CMiC.
