Enabling Real Time Integration (RTI) in R12

Overview

CMiC Real Time Integration (RTI) allows for the bi-directional updating of databases via XML standards. CMiC RTI flows data entered into the general contractor’s system to the owner’s system by internet and XML protocols, allowing for different systems to seamlessly communicate. This quick guide provides steps for enabling RTI in R12.

For more detailed information on RTI, refer to Real Time Integration – R12.

Procedure

NOTE: The current process for enabling RTI in R12 is completely different than the process followed for enabling RTI in v10x. The R12 process is assumed to be temporary and will be changed in the foreseeable future.

In R12, CMICRTI is enabled by setting up a scheduled task. This is also true for CMICIO and CMICRI.

The scheduled task starts upon the boot of the system.
