Cloud Login - Things to Consider
Here are some important things to keep in mind when logging into Cloud.
Accessing ATLAS and NOVA
CMiC Cloud offers multiple access points, each associated with its own environment. ATLAS and NOVA are the primary production environments. Premium Cloud customers also have access to additional TEST and SANDBOX environments.
| Environment Type | ATLAS | NOVA |
|---|---|---|
| Production | https://atlas.cmiccloud.com | https://nova.cmiccloud.com |
| TEST | https://atlas-test.cmiccloud.com | https://nova-test.cmiccloud.com |
| SANDBOX | https://atlas-sandbox.cmiccloud.com | https://atlas-sandbox.cmiccloud.com |
Login Options: Legacy Login vs. Cloud SSO
CMiC supports two login methods: Legacy (Standard) Login and Cloud SSO Login.
A legacy login page is shown below:
The Cloud SSO login will redirect the user to a different login page. They can be accessed by URLs with a suffix. For example:
ATLAS Production: https://atlas-az.cmiccloud.com
NOVA Production : https://nova-az.cmiccloud.com
ATLAS TEST: https://atlas-test-az.cmiccloud.com
NOVA TEST : https://nova-test-az.cmiccloud.com
ATLAS TEST: https://atlas-sandbox-az.cmiccloud.com/
NOVA TEST: https://nova-sandbox-az.cmiccloud.com/
A browser that has accessed the -az URL not using a private/incognito session will save cookies such that the corresponding non-az URL, when subsequently accessed, would be directed to the Cloud SSO login screen.
For further details about Cloud SSO login, refer to System Administration - CMiC Cloud SSO Authentication.
Bookmarking URLs
Avoid bookmarking the page after going to one of these URLs. Here is an example of a URL you should not bookmark.
Example of incorrect URL that should not be bookmarked
Here are samples of correct bookmarks for ATLAS and NOVA.
ATLAS

These bookmarks will take you to our login page for Cloud.

Cloud Login Page
NOTE: Users attempting to access the URLs mentioned above inside web browser sessions that have previously accessed the -az URLs, as mentioned in System Administration - CMiC Cloud SSO Authentication, will see the login requests directed to the Azure SSO login screens instead. To restore access to the legacy login screens, users can clear the browser cookies that redirects user to SSO login by accessing the following URLs:
-
For ATLAS: https://atlas-az.cmiccloud.com/cmicprod/cmic/clearCmicAzureCookie
-
For NOVA: https://nova-az.cmiccloud.com/cmicprod/cmic/clearCmicAzureCookie
Once cookies are cleared, users will see the message, "Cleared login azure cookie successfully", in their browser window. Next, close and restart the web browser. Subsequent access to https://atlas.cmiccloud.com/ (for ATLAS) or https://nova.cmiccloud.com/ (for NOVA) will redirect back to the legacy login screen.
