AI & Analytics - Security
System-Level Security
Before you can start using AI features in CMiC, you will need to reach out to your Account Manager to have the AI license installed on your system.
Once installed, you must accept the Terms of Use in the AI tab of the System Options screen in the System Data module (standard Treeview path: System > Setup > System Options – AI tab).
NOTE: Only Enterprise customers are required to install the AI license. Cloud customers will see the AI tab in the System Options screen by default.
User-Level Security
User-level security privileges are managed in the System Privileges tab of the User Maintenance screen in the System Data module.
To access basic AI functionality, users must be assigned the AIASKAL privilege.
Additional privileges are intended for administrators responsible for configuring instructions in the AI Agent and the AI Agent Builder tools.
| Code | Name | Functionality | User Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| AIASKAL | CMIC AI: Allows the user to use "Al" functionality. | Basic AI Features | General |
| AISECMNG | CMIC AI: Allows the user to modify security | Role Security for Agents | Administrator |
| AIAGENTDEV | AI Agent Builder: Developer. Allows any modification. | AI Agent Builder | Administrator |

| AIAGENTQA | AI Agent Builder: QA. Allows Status Update only. | AI Agent Builder | Administrator |

NOTE: These privileges should be assigned carefully to ensure proper control and consistency across your AI setup.
Agent-Level Security
AI Agents must have at least one security role assigned to be accessible to users. A user can access an agent only if they are assigned one or more of the security roles associated with that agent. The Assign Roles to Agents screen in the System Data module is used to manage and assign security roles for each agent. To learn more, refer to Nexus 01 Highlight - Role Assignments for Agents Program.
