Business Areas and Folders

The CMiC Default Data Source is organized into business areas and folders. Each business area represents a broad category of your business: General Ledger, Project Management, or Job Costing. Within each business area are folders. Each folder represents a table or view in the database. These folders have fields (or columns) which describe the details of the data that is available.

Some examples of default data sources for business areas and their folders are listed below:

• CMiC Default Data Source - General Ledger (GL)

• CMiC Default Data Source - Accounts Payable (AP)

• CMiC Default Data Source - Accounts Receivable (AR)

• CMiC Default Data Source - Job Costing (JC)
