CMiC Analytics - Job Costing Bucket

This bucket contains various BI reports relating to job costing. This includes reports detailing profit fade, expected costs, job cost transactions, and job summaries.

JC Standard Dashboard

This dashboard is built to give project-focused teams a clear and structured view of all job costing activity, starting from a broad summary of active jobs across the company. From this high-level perspective, users can click into individual jobs to access detailed financial breakdowns; covering budgets, actuals, commitments, and variances; before drilling further into the individual transactions that make up each cost.

Job Analysis Dashboard

This dashboard shows a mobile friendly overview of job information including status, contract amount, earned value, projected cost, change orders, etc.

Profit Fade

This dashboard shows how projected profits on a job have changed over time as forecasts get updated. Projected costs and projected revenue are compared over time. Projected costs are broken down by cost category. Finally, the dashboard includes a breakdown of projected costs and projected revenues by bill code.

Expected Cost Dashboard

This dashboard displays an aggregation of cost curves for past projects selected from a drop-down menu. This aggregation is compared to the cost curve for a selected project. The dashboard can be used to assess whether the cost of a project follows a familiar pattern over time or if there is cause for concern.

JC Dashboard Collection

This dashboard shows the spent to date broken down by job, cost category, and over time. It also includes the percent complete, current budget, billed to date, and projected cost for a selected job. Finally, it includes a tabular cost summary report.

JC Jobs

This query shows a list of jobs for a selected company. Details include the customer, job status, bill method, start and end dates, and contract amount.

JC Transactions

This query shows a list of job cost transactions for a selected job. Details include the cost code, cost category, post date, source description, and reference description.

JC Transaction Card View

This query shows a list of job cost transactions categorized by company. It also shows a total transaction amount by company.

JC Transaction Drill-Down

This query shows a list of jobs and divisions along with the total transaction amounts for each. Drilling down into a division shows the breakdown by cost code. Drilling down even further shows the breakdown by cost and category code.

JC Transactions Crosstab

This query shows a month-by-month breakdown of job cost transactions per job. Drilling down into a month shows the detailed list of transactions broken down by cost code and category.

JC Transactions Crosstab Detail

This query shows a month-by-month breakdown of job cost transactions per job, cost code, and cost category. Clicking on a month drills down into individual transactions.

JC Summary Drill-Down (JC Executive Summary Drill-Down)

This query shows a summary of budgets, spent, commitments, billed, invoiced, and other information by job. Clicking on a job drills down to a breakdown by cost code.

JC Summary Card View

This query shows a summary of budgets, spent, commitments, over/under, and other information by job. The information is also summarized by company.
