Improving Email Success Rate

The following are entries for clients to add in the external DNS zone file for their domain name:

For example, CMiC domains are: "cmic.ca" or "cmicglobal.com".

  1. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: em634714

    VALUE: return.smtp2go.net

  2. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: s634714._domainkey

    VALUE: dkim.smtp2go.net

  3. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: link

    VALUE: track.smtp2go.net

  4. IP to add into SPF record:

    ip4:103.47.205.238

In addition, if Microsoft 365 or something similar is being used, the following steps explain how to whitelist the IP address that will be sending the emails:

  1. In terms of emails being sent to junk – inform all recipients to check the junk folders and mark the emails as safe so that it doesn’t happen again for that specific type of email or from that specific sender. What's important is that emails are flowing through and are not being flagged by certain email security filters.

  2. This is how to whitelist all emails coming from this IP with Microsoft 365:

    1. Sign into Microsoft 365, click Admin, then Admin Centers, followed by Exchange.

    2. Under the Protection list, choose Connection Filter.

    3. Click the Edit icon which looks like a pencil.

    4. Choose Connection Filtering on the left side menu.

    5. Click the Plus (+) symbol, add the IP: 103.47.205.238, and click OK.

    6. Check the Enable Safe List checkbox.

    7. Click Save. To avoid any disruptions we suggest adding the information above for DKIM spam filters.
