Improving Email Success Rate

Note This section applies only to CMiC Cloud customers and Enterprise customers hosted in CMiC PAAS.

The following are entries for clients to add in the external DNS zone file for their domain name:

For example, CMiC domains are: "cmic.ca" or "cmicglobal.com".

  1. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: em634714

    VALUE: return.smtp2go.net

  2. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: s634714._domainkey

    VALUE: dkim.smtp2go.net

  3. TYPE: CNAME

    HOST: link

    VALUE: track.smtp2go.net

  4. IP to add into SPF record:

    ip4:103.47.205.238

In addition, if Microsoft 365 or something similar is being used, the following steps explain how to whitelist the IP address that will be sending the emails:

  1. In terms of emails being sent to junk – inform all recipients to check the junk folders and mark the emails as safe so that it doesn’t happen again for that specific type of email or from that specific sender. What's important is that emails are flowing through and are not being flagged by certain email security filters.

  2. Follow SMTP2Go’s instructions on how to whitelist all emails coming from this IP address with Microsoft 365 as stated in the following document:

    https://support.smtp2go.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000471954-Safelisting-IP-Addresses-With-Microsoft-365

  3. In addition, please add "spf.smtp2go.com" to the list of addresses specified in “Always allow messages from the following IP address or address range”, as mentioned in the document above.
