Preventive Maintenance - System Control File

Pgm: PRMOPT – Maintain Preventive Maintenance Options; standard Treeview path: Preventive Maintenance > Setup > Local Tables > System Control File

Use this screen to set parameters that apply system-wide, independent of the current default company.

Select Deadline Date or Generation Date

Generate work items governs the rules used when generating work items automatically using the Tasks > Generate Work Items screen.

  • Deadline Date, if selected the task is scheduled to start on the date when it must be completed.

  • Generation Date, if selected the task is scheduled to start immediately.

Generate Work Orders When Generating Work Items – Checkbox

The default setting for the ‘Generate Work Orders’ checkbox on the Equipment Work Item Generation screen (standard Treeview path: Preventive Maintenance > Tasks > Generate Work Items).

Default PM Priority

Using the LOV, select the priority level to automatically default.

  • Priority levels are set up on the local tables. This field may be entered later if the local tables have not been set yet.

Automatically Update Accumulators – Checkbox

Check this checkbox to have the ‘Auto Update Meter Readings’ checkbox set in the Define Accumulators screen. If this is unchecked, the checkbox will be unchecked in the Define Accumulators screen.

Validate Inter-Company setup between Work Order and Equipment Company – Checkbox

This box is unchecked by default. When unchecked, an inter-company work order can be added without validation of an inter-company clearing account existing between two companies. When checked, it validates if an inter-company clearing account exists between two companies and if it doesn't exist, an inter-company work order cannot be added successfully until an inter-company clearing account has been set up in the Company Setup > [Inter-Company Setup] button pop-up window in the General Ledger module.

Default Maintenance Items Category Code

This will be the default category code for maintenance items.
