Analytics + AI (Ask Analytics)

Why is it Useful?

The integration of OpenAI's Assistant V2 API powered by GPT-4o into our analytics platform represents a significant leap forward in making data interaction more intuitive and accessible. This new AI feature transforms complex data analytics into simple conversational exchanges, allowing users to query data, gain insights, and make informed decisions swiftly and efficiently. Users can now ask direct questions about their data in natural language, just like they would in a conversation with a data analyst. This ease of use not only democratizes data access across the company, enabling team members with varied technical skills to harness critical business insights but also significantly reduces the time spent on analyzing vast datasets.

In addition, the conversational AI interface is equipped to understand context and nuance, ensuring that responses are not only accurate but also relevant to the user's specific queries. This tailored interaction encourages a deeper exploration of data, fostering a more analytical approach among users. As ERP systems continue to generate vast amounts of data, the ability to quickly interpret and act on this data becomes a competitive edge. Our new feature empowers users to leverage this data to drive strategic decisions, optimize operations, and predict market trends more effectively, making it an invaluable tool in today's fast-paced business environment.

NOTE: This feature is being released in Patch 20.

How Does it Work?

If you are interested in participating in our Beta program running from August to November this year, please contact your Account Manager for approval. Upon approval, CMiC will provide each customer with a unique Enterprise Grade OpenAI API key, enabling the use of GPT-4o within CMiC Analytics.

To access this feature, you must enable it for each user through the System Privileges in User Maintenance.

Once enabled, an AI icon will appear atop every query within Analytics. Clicking this icon will open a chat dialogue, allowing you to ask questions related to the data in the query.

This chat interface offers a conversational experience that analyzes queries, displays new visualizations, and allows for exporting data to Microsoft Excel, PDF, among others. Additionally, the Large Language Model (LLM) can predict trends, detect anomalies, provide textual summaries, and offer many more advanced data analysis capabilities.
