Move Folder

Why is it Useful?

Users can now move folders between business areas without breaking any existing dashboards. This makes it easy to modify their copy of the data source when needed, without worrying about re-creating dashboards and reports.

NOTE: This feature was released in Patch 16 under Issue 22.57654.

How Does it Work?

In Catalog Builder, right-clicking on a folder opens the drop-down menu where the Move item is located.

By clicking on that item, the user is prompted to choose which business area to move the folder to, as shown below.
