Jasper Reports - Security
Standard Jasper Reports Security
Jasper Reports access is controlled by two independent security layers that must both be configured together:
-
'Report User' and 'Report Administrator' checkboxes on the Role definition screen (System Data > Security > Roles > Define Roles). These directly control whether a role can access and administer Jasper Reports.
-
Assign Roles to Target on the Reports menu node in Treeview Builder (Treeview Builder > [Assign Roles] button). This controls whether the Report item is visible to the role in CMiC Console.
NOTE: The [Assign Roles] button in Treeview Builder opens the same Assign Roles to Targets screen accessible via System Data > Security > Roles > Assign Roles to Targets.
Security for Custom Jasper Reports
Once a custom Jasper Report node exists in the Treeview Builder, navigate to System Data > Security > Roles > Assign Roles to Targets (or use the [Assign Roles] button directly on the custom report's node in the Treeview Builder) and assign the appropriate role(s). The custom report node must already exist in the Treeview Builder before roles can be assigned to it.
