Environmental Conditions

The Environmental Conditions sub-menu contains the setup, data entry, query, and report options for reporting on environmental conditions.

Environmental Conditions Entry

Pgm: HRENVRPT – Enter Environmental Conditions; standard Treeview path: Human Resources > Medical > Environmental Conditions > Enter Environmental Conditions

Sample Report Header

Sample Code

Enter the code for the sample.

Date of Sampling, Site Address

Enter/select when and where the sample was taken.

Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed, Direction, Atmospheric Pressure

Enter the ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and atmospheric pressure when the sample was taken.

Location of Sample

Enter the current location of the sample.

Sampling On, Exposure Group/Employee

Select whether the sample was collected by a single employee or an exposure group and enter who collected the sample.

Shift Duration

Enter the length of shift that employees may spend in contact with the sample.

Comment

Enter any additional comments about the sample here.

[Tool Used], [Protective Equipment], [Admin Controls] – Buttons

Press these buttons to add any tools, protective equipment, or administrative controls that were used when collecting the sample.

Measurements

Contaminant

Enter/select the contaminant detected in the sample. These codes can be set in the Contaminants screen found later in this sub-menu.

Sampling Type

Enter/select the type of sample recovered. These codes can be set in the Sampling Types screen found later in this sub-menu.

Unit

Enter/select the unit of the value in the Result field.

Enter “=” or “<” depending on whether the measurement is an exact value or a limit, respectively.

Result

Enter the value of the measurement.

PEL, TWA, Action Level

Enter the permissible exposure limit, time weighted average, and action level of the measurement.

Employee Exposure Report

Pgm: HR5001 – Employee Exposure Report; standard Treeview path: Human Resource > Medical > Environmental Conditions > Employee Exposure Report

This screen can be used to print a report listing all employees that meet the entered selection criteria.

Company

Enter/select the company code.

Contaminant

Enter/select the code for the contaminant.

From Date, To Date

Enter the start and end dates for the report.

From Measurement, To Measurement

Enter the lower and upper measurement limits.

From Activity, To Activity

Enter the lower and upper activity limits.

Export Data – Checkbox

Check this box to create a CSV file of the data in the report.

[Print] – Button

Press this button to print the employee exposure report.

Sampling Types

Engineering/Admin. Controls

Use this screen to define controls used by the company to minimize potential damage and risk posed by collected samples.

Personal Protective Equipment

Pgm: HRPPEMNT – Personal Protective Equipment; standard Treeview path: Human Resources > Medical > Environmental Conditions > Personal Protective Equipment

Use this screen to enter pieces of equipment used to protect employees from potential hazards posed by collecting samples.

Exposure Groups

Pgm: HREXPGRP – Exposure Group Maintenance; standard Treeview path: Human Resources > Medical > Environmental Conditions > Exposure Groups

Use this screen to define codes for exposure groups and to assign employees to these groups. This information is used for the Employee Exposure Report.
