Greenshades - 941 Reporting

Creating a 941 XML Data File

Form 941 XML data is created in CMiC Enterprise for import into Greenshades. The W2/T4 Parameters screen is used to generate the XML file, and is available in the US Payroll module (standard Treeview path: US Payroll > Utilities > W2 Mapping Parameters) and the International Payroll module (standard Treeview path: International Payroll > Government Forms > T4 Mapping Parameters).

941 Mapping

Social Security (SS) and Medicare Taxes for Employer Paid (ER) codes must be mapped separately from Employee Paid (EE) codes.

Select "Employer Amount" from the Amount Type drop-down menu for Box Code 4-941 for the Social Security Employer and Box Code 6-941 for the Medicare Employer .

Check the 'Include Rec.' box to include these records in the data file.

Medicare employee and employer mapping is also required.

Check the 'Include Rec.' box for both SRTX box codes to include these records in the data file. Employee amounts have a factor number of 111.11111 and employer amounts have a factor of -111.11111.

Generating an XML Data File

The 941 Parameter screen (standard Treeview path: US Payroll > Government Forms > 941 Filing) is used to generate the XML Data file.

To create a 941 export file, as specified by the parameters, click the [Prepare Data] button to extract the data and then on the [Generate File] button to create the XML file. Once the file has successfully processed, click the [Down Load File] button to download the file.

Once generated, users can import the file into Greenshades.
