BI Queries
Business Intelligence (BI) queries are custom dashboards with interactive charts, gauges, and tables that are built using real-time data directly from the CMiC system. In addition to providing the same or similar functionality provided in the standard logs and queries, they also provide features such as subtotals, groupings, pivots and drill-downs.
The GL module contains the following BI queries:
The following sections describe each of these queries and how they are used. Queries will be modifiable or display-only, depending on the user’s security privileges.
NOTE: Administrators must assign BI queries to the appropriate security roles. Only users who have been assigned these security roles will be able to view/edit the BI query. Security can be assigned using the Assign Roles to BI Dashboard screen or using the BI Analytics tool where mass security updates can be carried out.

Chart of Accounts
Chart of Accounts; standard Treeview path: standard Treeview path: General Ledger > Analytics > Chart of Accounts
The Chart of Accounts query is used to display a company’s chart of accounts.
Account Balances
Account Balances; standard Treeview path: standard Treeview path: General Ledger > Analytics > Account Balances
The Account Balances query displays account balances for each account within a specified company. Use the filter to define which company to search for and display its account details.
Transaction Listing
Transaction Listing; standard Treeview path: standard Treeview path: General Ledger > Analytics > Transaction Listing
The Transaction Listing query is used to examine all the transactions for a company, sorted by posting date. Users can filter by company code, department, and post date range and the query will automatically filter display the transactions results.
Activity By Month
Activity By Month; standard Treeview path: standard Treeview path: General Ledger > Analytics > Activity By Month
The Activity By Month query is used to examine the transactions for a company within a fiscal year, sorted by the post date month. This query relies on the year end procedure being executed properly on all clearing accounts set to “0”. When the year-end procedure has not been executed, the outstanding balance may include the previous year figures.
Activity By Account
