PM Exchange - DX Import/Export
Overview
Import/Export Screen
The DX Import/Export screen is used to import and export data into and out of GCS. It is also used to map data in GCS. Key data elements can be uploaded from a CSV file and then mapped using mapping features. It also allows users receiving data to download shared data elements such as vendors, map the data between the source and target systems, and then upload their mapping to the GCS server.
This application can also be used make similar projects quickly by downloading an existing set of mappings, tweaking it, and then uploading it to a pair of linked projects in GCS. The process can be thought of as a copy-from feature. This approach applies an efficient method to enable exchanges.
The Import/Export screen contains the following features:
-
Export Data
-
Export Mappings
-
Import Data
-
Import Mappings
Ensure the relevant environment is selected in the drop-down menu in the top-portion of the console.
NOTE: A prerequisite for using the Export Mappings and Import Mappings feature on the DX Import/Export screen is that at least one DX link must exist between the selected tenant and another tenant in PM Exchange, otherwise an error message will be issued.
