CMiC Field - Communication Management

Overview

The Communication Management menu allows members of the project team to enter and update project communication information such as meeting minutes, issues, RFIs, transmittals, and generic communication logs. This menu can also be used to access the project calendar and the list of project contacts.

NOTE: When creating correspondence objects in CMiC Field, the From field (default value is current user) can be changed while the correspondence is being created but can no longer be changed once the record is submitted. This feature is managed using field security. The From field can be assigned field security such that it remains editable for unsubmitted records but not for submitted ones. This functionality applies to the following objects: issues, communications, field work directives, notices, owner change transmittals, punch lists, and RFIs.
