Buyout Items
Buyout Items; standard Treeview path: CMiC Field > Bid Management > Buyout Items
The Buyout Items screen can be run from the Treeview menu or by clicking the [Edit] button on the Buyout Items Log screen.
NOTE: Security access to the Buyout Items screen will need to be granted before the screen is visible on the Treeview. Security access to the following menu items also need to be assigned: Buyout Items Log and Buyout Items.
This screen has a look similar to the Bid Items screen with similar columns. The main difference is the link to the corresponding bid package, allowing users to drill into it.
This editable Bid Management Buyout Items grid allows users to select and mass update fields such as Target Date, Phase or Bid Package Number, giving users the possibility of selecting and changing the same cell across one or more rows.
This screen contains two buttons, [Enter Mass Update] and [Recalc Totals], to accomplish this mass update functionality.
[Enter Mass Update] – Button
The [Enter Mass Update] button is a quick way to perform mass updates to multiple fields in the Buyout Items screen all at once.
For example, this function can be used to insert values into multiple columns, such as the three Pre-Estimate 1 columns (Quantity, Price and Amount), as shown in the screenshots below.

[Recalc Totals] – Button
The [Recalc. Totals] button is used to recalculate the Total lines in the grid when changes have been made to the grid’s values.
For example, in the screenshot below, the Budget section’s Price and Amount values have been overwritten on two rows. After clicking on the [Recalc Totals] button, the totals in the grid are recalculated.
