Pgm: CIITMQRY – Item Query; standard Treeview path: Inventory > Queries > Item Query

The Item Query screen allows users to query by the inventory items that have been created within the system. Each item line displays the on book quantity, on hand quantity, and on order quantity. After filling in the fields in the Selection Criteria section, users must click on the Query Data button to display the records.

Drill-down from the Item Summary section can be by composite item, serial number, locations, and cost batches using the buttons along the bottom of the screen.

Cost Batch

The Cost Batch button is enabled only for items using the FIFO cost method and opens the Cost Batch Query pop-up window where users can view the last and average costs of each cost batch for FIFO items. In FIFO, when the item is introduced with a new cost, the system creates a new cost batch for the incoming quantity and cost.

Location

In the Location button pop-up window, the Low checkbox indicates if the query can be drilled down further or not. If it's checked, the inventory item is at the lowest level and there are no deeper levels in the hierarchy. If it is unchecked, it indicates that this is not the lowest level of query and can be drilled down further in the hierarchy. An example is shown in the screenshot below.
