Define Text Type and Text Codes

When using the Preferred Contact Method feature for sending AR invoice email notifications, text type and text codes must be initially set up in the System Data module.

Pgm: TEXTTYP – Text Type; standard Treeview path: System > Global Tables > Text Type

First, create a text type which is defined as "AR-INV" in the Text Type screen.

Pgm: TEXTFM – Text Code; standard Treeview path: System > Global Tables > Text Code

In the Text Code screen, select the "AR-INV" text type and create two new text codes: one for the subject line and one for the body. The subject text code must be defined as "SUBJECT" followed by any other text (e.g., SUBJECT1). The body text code must be defined as "BODY" followed by any other text (e.g., BODY1).

To learn more about how these codes are created, refer to Text Type and Text Codes.
