Human Resources - Rules
Pgm: HRRULADM – Rules; standard Treeview path: Human Resources > Benefit Administration > Benefit/Deduction Administration > Rules
This screen is used to create and apply rules that govern which employees are covered by which benefits. For example, this screen could be used to create a rule which only selects salaried employees from a certain company, or only union employees who are currently working.
Rule Details
This section contains the basic rule information as well as options to process rules and view an audit of any changes made.
[Insert] - Button
Press this button in the section toolbar to create a new rule.
Rule ID
Enter the ID code for the rule.
Description
Enter a short description for the rule.
Status
This is a display-only field that shows when the rule was last applied.
Apply Rule - Checkbox
Check this box to apply the rule when the [Process] button is pressed.
[Show Audit] - Button
Select a rule and press this button to display a pop-up showing a full audit of any changes made to that rule.
[Process] - Button
Press this button to process all rules with their 'Apply Rule' checkbox checked.
Criteria Details
This section is used to define the criteria that make up a rule. Select a rule in the Rule Details section to have that rule's criteria appear in this section. The criteria contain fields and existing values from the Employee Table (i.e., values used in employee profiles). For more information, please refer to Human Resources - Employee Profile.
Rule Field Name
Select the field to which the rule applies.
Rule Operator
Select the operator that will apply to the entry in the Rule Value field when the rule is processed.
Rule Value
Select the value which the operator value applies to when processing the rule.
Static Values
This section can be used to select static values for individual criteria. Select a criteria and then use the Code LOV in this section to define static values for that field name. The Code LOV contains existing values from the Employee Table (i.e., values used in employee profiles). For more information, please refer to Human Resources - Employee Profile.
