CMiC Field - Punch List Item Status Maintenance

The Punch List Item Status Maintenance screen is used to add, edit, or delete punch list item status codes that are used in the Status field on the Punch List Item screen. Users can also assign a default status to be used for new punch list items.

The screen is hidden by default and users will need to be assigned menu access on their security role. Custom menus will need to be modified to include this menu item. For more information, please refer to CMiC Field Security - Punch Lists.

These codes can be selected in the Status field on the Punch List Item screen (standard Treeview path: CMiC Field > Site Management > Punch Lists), as shown below.

Creating a New Punch List Item Status

To create a new item status, press the [Add] button on the Punch List Item Status Maintenance log screen.

Status Code, Name

Enter a custom code/name for the item status.

Class

Select one of the following status classes:

  • Draft: The punch list item has been created but not yet assigned for resolution.

  • Open: The punch list item has a responsible party and an associated due date, with work to be completed.

  • Review: The punch list item is under review.

    NOTE: If all required reviewers have completed their review of the punch list item, the Status field in the header section of the Punch List Items screen will default to a status of the Review class. For more information, please refer to CMiC Field - Punch List Items.

  • Contested: The punch list item has either been disputed in some form or has failed its review, and a resolution is required.

  • Closed: The punch list item work has been completed and approved.

Default Status – Radio Button

Press this button to assign the punch list item status as the default status when creating a new punch list item.

Delete

Statuses can be deleted by clicking on the Delete icon (Image of delete icon).
